Webster Combustion Appoints Chris Checket Aggregate Burner Sales Manager
Winfield KS, Jan 25, 2023 – Webster Combustion announced the appointment of Christopher Checket to Sales Manager for the company’s aggregate burner product line. Checket joined Webster Combustion following a 34-year background in technical roles within the combustion industry.
Much of Checket’s early career was involved with non-destructive testing and research and development for prototype boiler burner systems. Over the years, he moved into increasingly responsible roles focusing on applications engineering, then into design and quoting special systems for aggregate burners. For the last 15 years he was employed by a prominent industrial burner and systems brand, including a portfolio of aggregate combustion products, where he established excellent customer relationships as a problem solver for end users. This background in consultative sales makes his new position with Webster a particularly good fit.
Checket said, “Customers in the asphalt market are extremely familiar with the nuances of their plant’s capabilities and needs so they recognize good engineering and appreciate sound advice. They also demand to know that parts are readily available to avoid costly shutdowns. My job is to help keep their plants running. They want to know, ‘What is Webster going to do differently to solve my problems?’ To help meet deliveries, for instance, Webster can adapt our burners with more readily available components to avoid lengthy supply chain backlogs.”
Checket will be responsible for working with OEMs to introduce Webster’s combustion technologies as a superior alternative to their current brands, as well as seeking, hiring and training new reps to serve aftermarket burner retrofits. Checket is responsible for quoting all Webster products for the rep organizations to ensure technical and commercial thoroughness and consistency.
